about
Hello there, welcome to my website!
I'm Thorge and I'm currently at Heidelberg university as a part time
student research assistent (and also to attend some lectures for my MSc).
I've recently finished my BSc in Physics at the Institute of Computer Engineering here in Heidelberg (with the European Institute for Neuromorphic Computing). Here, I was — and still am — working on introducing differentiability to the software simulation and hardware emulation of non-linear neuron dynamics for multi-compartment models.
projects
I also work on some of my own projects in my free time.
Recently, I conducted a comparison of GARCH vs. Random Forest in the (out-of-sample) forecasting of SOL/USDT daily realized volatility. This and some simulations I did for my bachelor thesis can be found on my GitHub page.
interests
I like to travel and visit new places.
I also have some creative hobbies that I follow when I feel like staying at home. For example, I like to paint, make electronic music and edit photos and videos from old projects or vacations that I was on.
I've recently created a digital portfolio for my paintings and drawings (which can be found via the button below, if the hyperlink doesn't work).
contact
I'm always interested in meeting new people and
collaborating on any sort of side projects.
Wether you are working on something cool and want to collaborate, or just to talk about something; feel free to reach out to me via email about anything シ
